Just Married: An anniversary elopement in Auckland

While pottery might be the traditional 9th anniversary present, this cool couple decided to celebrate theirs by getting married!

Less than three months prior, this stunning bride emailed us about our elopement packages, and if we could in fact pull something off as soon as July - you betcha we could!

Right from the start these two had their hearts set on a beautiful historic location.  While we've hosted many a wedding at Howick Historical Village's Bell House, this was our first outing in the Church and it was so much fun to style - as you can see we are very much still on that floral buzz. Don't be put off by the cold, seasonal blooms are amazing at this time fo year. Speaking of - how good is that bouquet by Floramay! We loved the mix of fresh and dried flowers.

This savvy bride scored her wedding dress off TradeMe for a mere $150 - when she arrived, we had to do a double take - anyone else get Penelope Cruz vibes? Turns out, there's an array of amazing vintage dresses on TradeMe - certainly worth a scan if you're on the lookout for something original, or to spend less.

With no guests, we got to act at witnesses which is always a bit special for us. The ceremony with Laura Giddey was so lovely - heartfelt, funny, spontaneous - and of course some tears. We we're even lucky enough to celebrate Laura's 200th wedding. 200! Marrying people like a boss!

From there it was onto photo time, more laughter and silliness, some cute chickens, an even cuter cake, and the result, wow - straight fire from the lens of Sarah Weber. Keep scrolling for the goods!
